I have three treasures. Guard and keep them: The first is deep love, The second is frugality, And the third is not to dare to be ahead of the world. Because of deep love, one is courageous. Because of frugality, one is generous. Because of not daring to be ahead of the world, one becomes the leader of the world.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a system of yoga that is taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India. It is a sequential form of yoga wherein the vinyasa synchronizes the breath with movement.Asanas are entered into on an inhalation and exited out of on an exhalation, creating a “garland” of postures that are fluidly linked together on the “string” of the breath. The deep, rhythmic ujjayibreathing technique is utilized, which steadies the mind and generates an internal heal that releases toxins from muscles and organs and gives the body more flexibility.
Alignment and strength grow as the student cultivates his or her awareness of the internal locks, or bandhas. The eyes also play an important role with drishtis or gazing points that, by further calming the mind, encourage the internalization of the practice.
Ashtanga Vinyasa is a moving meditation in which the breath serves as the medium between the body and the mind. Strength and grace, radiant health and happiness, as well as internal and spiritual development can result from a dedicated practice.
