20-hour Introduction to Teacher's Training

This 20-hour introduction to teacher's training is a Yoga Alliance (USA) Certified Program. It is also a part of the 200-hour Teacher Training Program, developed by Michel Besnard. Students who wish to complete the 200-hour program can eventually deduct the credits earned from this 20-hour training.

  • Asana practice with emphasis on Sun Salutations and standing poses
  • Practical Anatomy: looking at the anatomy of posture to avoid injury and pai
  • Basic adjustments and observation on Sun Salutations and standing poses
  • Sequencing: the principle of building up a sequence
  • Introduction to Kriyas and basic pranayama: looking at Nauli and its relation to the "Core", Ujjayi Breathing (yogic breath) and its applications in yoga practice
  • How to engage the core to protect your back
  • Yoga Philosophy: brief history of yoga, introduction to classical yoga "The Yoga of Patanjali", and applying it in your daily Asana practice
  • Introduction to Meditation: introduction to different types of Meditation
